Antigua and Barbuda
Mission Statement:
To cultivate the global competitiveness of Antigua and Barbuda’s Services Sector by exploiting international market potential.
The Antigua and Barbuda Coalition of Service Industries (ABCSI) is a private sector driven, trade-in-services organization launched in February 2011 by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda. The organization’s primary aim is to advance trade opportunities in the services industry by identifying and promoting market intelligence and technological innovation. The Coalition will also faciliate adoption of quality assurance to international service standards.
While the services sector in Antigua and Barbuda accounts for 90 % of the GDP, there is still significant untapped potential. Most of the service providers are micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSME’s) with inherent potential for growth. The aim of ABCSI therefore is to provide support services to propel the growth of these businesses towards expanding into international markets.
The platform of services to be provided will include, but not limited to:
- Public awareness and participation
- Policy Advocacy
- Sector Development and Linkages
- Services Standards
- Trade Promotion
